The Cisco DPQ3925 is a DOCSIS 3.0 wireless residential WiFi modem with an embedded digital voice adapter. It is a high-performance home WiFi modem that combines a cable modem, two-line digital voice adapter, router, and wireless access point in a single device. This Internet and Telephone Modem is a cost-effective voice and networking solution for both the home and small office.

  • Provides a faster connection to the Internet and can be activated for up to two phone lines.
  • Requires subscription to Cox Digital Telephone, Cox High Speed Internet service, or both.

After the WiFi modem is successfully connected to the network, the POWER, DS, US, ONLINE, ETHERNET (1-4), USB, WIRELESS LINK, SETUP, TEL1, TEL2, and BATTERY indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the gateway is online and fully operational. The Cisco DPQ3925 includes the following connection ports:

  • POWER - Connects the wireless home gateway to the AC power source
  • ETHERNET (1-4) - Provides internet access to a single device. Only one port is active at a time.
  • USB - Connects to the USB port on your computer
  • TELEPHONE 1 and 2 - Connects to home telephone wiring and to conventional telephones for or fax machines
  • RESET - Used by Cox maintenance to reset the cable modem - may delete all previous settings
  • WIRELESS SETUP - Activates Wireless Protected Setup (WPS), which allows you to add wireless devices to the wireless network of the residential gateway
  • CABLE - Connects to an active cable signal from your service provider

The information below is usually found on a sticker located on the bottom of the device.

  • The S/N is the serial number of the DPQ3925.
  • The CM MAC is the MAC address of the DPQ3925.

Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your Internet and Telephone modem. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Off No power - Verify that the power supply and electrical outlet connections are secure. Also make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch.

Solid Green None
Blinking Green Internet and Telephone modem establishing a connection from the Internet to the computer - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.  

US

(Upstream)

Solid Green None
Blinking Green Internet and Telephone modem trying to connect to service - looking for upstream - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.  
Off Internet and Telephone modem establishing a connection from the computer to the Internet - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.  
ONLINE Solid Green None
Off No connection - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.
ETHERNET 1-4 Solid Green None - a device is connected to the Ethernet port
Blinking Green None - a device is connected to the Ethernet port and data is being sent to or from the Internet and Telephone modem.  
Off No connection - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.  
WIRELESS LINK Solid Green None - the Wireless Access Point is operational
Blinking Green None - data is being transferred over the wireless connection  
Off The wireless access point has been disabled by the user - Verify all cable connections and try resetting the device.  
TEL 1

Solid Green None. Indicates service is enabled
Blinking Green None - Line 1 or Line 2 is in use  
BATTERY Solid Green None - battery is charged
Blinking Green Battery charge is low - Make sure the power cord is connected to the unit and an active power source.
