Checking Your Payment Status

Solution

Check Payment Status Online

Use the following steps to check your payment or adjustment status online.
 

Note: For security reasons, only the primary account holder can view billing details, statements, and account history. If the account holder has listed you on the account as an authorized user, and gives you full access to the account, then you can make a payment as well as view billing details, statements, or account history.

From the Cox.com homepage, click Sign In My Account.

Enter your User ID and Password.
 

Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.

From the top of the page, click the Billing icon.

From the Payment & billing options section, click View transaction history.

From the Transaction history page, click the View drop-down menu and then select the appropriate statement.

Result: A list of transactions for the selected statement displays.

Locate your most recent payments and adjustments under the Description column.

Notes:

  • Transactions can be sorted by Date, Description, Status, or Amount. For more information on Status descriptions, see Payment Status Changes on the Recent Activity Page.
  • To view more information regarding a transaction, click the arrow next to the transaction date.
  • Payments made online, by phone, by kiosk, or through a Cox agent are updated to Pending status immediately.
  • If you submit your payment by mail, it may take an extra day to process and update online.

Check Payment Status by Phone

Use the following steps to check your payment status over the phone.

Contact Us and select the Billing option.

Enter your phone number associated with the account.

Enter the account holder's Cox PIN or the last four digits of the Social Security Number.

Note: Authorized users cannot view or retrieve payment status. This policy helps to ensure the privacy of the account.

Listen for the date and amount of the last payment made to the account. You'll also hear any past due amounts, as well as the amount and due date of your next payment.

Note: If you submit your payment by mail, it may take an extra day to process.
