Checking Your Payment Status


Check Payment Status Online

Use the following steps to check your payment status online.

Note: For security reasons, only the primary account holder can view billing details, statements, and account history. If the account holder has listed you on the account as an authorized user, and gives you full access to the account, then you can make a payment as well as view billing details, statements, or account history.


From the Cox.com homepage, click Sign In My Account.


Enter your User ID and Password.

Note: If you do not remember your User ID or Password, or experience an issue signing in, see Recover Your Cox User ID or Reset Your Cox Password.


From the Customers drop-down at the top of the page complete the following.

  1. Click My Bill.
  2. Click Recent Activity.

Locate your most recent payment in the Recent Payments/Credits section.

  • Payments made online, by phone, by kiosk, or through a Cox agent, are updated to Pending status immediately.
  • If you mail in your payment, it may take an extra day for it to process and update on Cox.com.

Check Payment Status by Phone

Use the following steps to check your payment status over the phone.


Contact Us and select the Billing option.


Enter your phone number associated with the account.


Enter the account holder's Cox PIN or the last four digits of the Social Security Number.

Note: Authorized users cannot view or retrieve payment status. This policy helps to ensure the privacy of the account.


Listen for the date and amount of the last payment made to the account. You'll also hear any past due amounts, as well as the amount and due date of your next payment.

Note: If you mailed in your payment, it may take an extra day for it to process.
