Checking Your Data Usage With Cox Connect


During system maintenance following account updates, your data usage meter may display the error The data usage for your account is not currently being captured and will not apply to your current data plan.

The Cox Connect app offers a Data Usage Meter to Cox High Speed Internet customers that provides a way to check total monthly household data usage at any time. The Data Usage Meter is only available to Account Holder user accounts. To learn more about data usage, visit our Learn More page.

View your current and historical data usage in the Cox Connect app using the following steps. For more information about the Cox Connect app, refer to Cox Connect Features.


Launch the Cox Connect app and sign in with your primary User ID and Password.

Note: If you haven't already created a User ID and Password, sign up for one by registering your account. Tap No Account? Register Now! and follow the steps. See Cox.com Account Registration and Preferences for more information.


Complete the following steps.

  1. On the upper-left hand corner of the home screen, tap the Menu icon. 
  2. Tap Internet.

From the Internet page, tap Data to see the Data Usage Meter display usage from your current and previous cycles.

  • If you do not have a My WiFi-enabled device, the Data Usage Meter automatically displays.
  • If you have exceeded your data plan, the usage bar is filled and displays in red.
  • To view additional prior cycles, sign in and check your Data Usage Meter at Cox.com. See Access and Use the Data Usage Meter for more information.
