Changing Phone Port Connections Using a Phone Wall Jack

A phone jack uses your home wiring to provide a dial tone to additional phone devices. Use the steps below to connect your phone equipment to a wall jack.

Locate an available phone wall jack.

Disconnect the phone equipment from Tel2.

Connect the phone equipment previously connected to Tel2 to the available wall jack.

Confirm there is a dial tone. If you are using a fax machine, send a test fax.

• If there is a dial tone or the fax sends, then you have successfully connected your phone equipment.
• If there is no dial tone or the fax does not send, then try another wall jack or contact us for assistance.
