Modem Information

The modem will automatically power on when the power adapter is connected. After the modem is successfully connected to the network, the Online and WiFi indicators illuminate a solid green to indicate that the modem is online and fully operational.

The following are available on the back of the modem.

  • Reset button: Use this button to reboot or reset the WiFi cable modem configuration settings.
  • Ethernet: Four one-gigabit Ethernet ports for RJ-45 network cable connections.
    • Solid green LED: Indicates a data transfer rate of one gigabit per second.
    • Blinking green LED: Indicates data traffic is in progress.
    • Solid amber LED: Indicates a data transfer rate of less than one gigabit per second.
    • Blinking amber LED: Indicates data traffic is in progress.
  • Cable: Coaxial cable connector.
  • Power port: Connect the power cord provided with the WiFi cable modem.

MAC Address / WiFi Network Label

  • MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F).
    • A MAC address is unique.
    • The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.
    • This information is usually found on a sticker located on the bottom of the modem.
  • This label is located on the bottom of the device, which contains the default Network Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Security Key (Preshared Key).


The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.
