Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your modem. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.
Modem Light | Status | Problem |
POWER | Solid Green | None |
Off | No power. Verify power supply connections and electrical outlets. Also, make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch. |
RECEIVE | Solid Green | None. Downstream channel connected |
Solid Blue | None. The downstream channel connected with bonded channels |
Flashing | Searching for a downstream channel connection. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
Off | Modem offline. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
SEND | Solid Green | None. Upstream channel connected |
Solid Blue | None. The upstream channel is connected with bonded channels. |
Flashing | Modem registering with headend and searching for an upstream channel connection. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
Off | Modem offline. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
ONLINE | Solid Green | None. Connected to the internet |
Flashing | None. Scanning for configuration parameters. |
Off | No connection. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
LINK | Solid Amber | None. A single device is connected to the Ethernet port; no data is sent to or from the modem. |
Solid Blue | None. A high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connection from the cable modem to the computer |
Flashing | None. A single device connected to the Ethernet port transfers data between the computer and the cable modem. |
Off | No devices are connected. Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. |
