Accessing the Apps on a Contour Receiver

Solution

There are two ways to access the Internet based Contour apps with the Cox remote:

  • Voice command, and
  • Using the navigation options on the remote
     
If using the… On Contour TV… On Contour Stream Player…
Voice command Access the app menu by saying the following.
  • "Apps"
  • "Networks"
  • State the name of the app to directly open the app
 Access the app menu by saying the following.
  • "Apps"
  • State the name of the app to directly open the app
Navigation options Using the Apps Menu
Complete the following steps on the Contour remote.
  1. Press the Contour button.
  2. From the Menu, use the arrow buttons to highlight Apps.
  3. Press OK.
  4. From the Applications screen, use the arrow buttons to highlight the app of your choice.
  5. Press OK.
Using the Network Menu
Complete the following steps on the Contour remote.
  1. Press the Contour button.
  2. From the Menu, use the arrow buttons to highlight On Demand.
  3. Press OK.
  4. From the On Demand screen, use the arrow buttons to highlight Networks
  5. From the Networks screen, use the arrow buttons to highlight the network of your choice.
 Using the Apps Row
Complete the following steps on the Contour remote.
  1. From the Home screen, use the arrow buttons to scroll down to the Apps row (circular icons).
  2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the app of your choice.
  3. Press OK.
