As a Cox customer, you have options for publishing your directory listing in local phone books, Cox Green Listings online directory, and in Cox's 411 Directory Assistance.

Publishing Options

Refer to the table below for explanations of each directory listing choice.

The account holder's first name or initials and last name must appear in the directory listing.
To have a name listed in the directory, the listed name must be the account holder or authorized user. Always spell the name as it is entered back to the customer to ensure it's correct.

Name Only	Your listing is available to the Cox online directory, Cox 411 Directory Assistance, and telephone book publishers.
Non-Directory Note: Additional charges apply. Contact a Cox Representative for additional details.	Your name, address including ZIP code, and phone number are not made available to the Cox online directory, or telephone books, but are available through Cox 411 Directory Assistance.

Listing Guidelines

Below are a few of the guidelines for residential directory listings.

The listed name must be the account holder or authorized user.
The account holder's first name or initials and last name must appear in the directory listing.
Only a customer’s legal name can be published.

Example: You cannot request to be published under the name Casper the Ghost because that is not a legal name.
You cannot use a business name for a Cox Digital Telephone residential directory listing.
Only one last name can be used as a main listing for any directory listing; however, hyphenated last names are allowed.
You are allowed to include two first names in your listing, but they must share the same last name.
You have the option to omit your house number and street name. This option leaves only your name, city, state, and zip code made public. Contact a Cox Representative for more information.

Green Listings / Cox Online Directory

Green Listings is Cox's environmentally friendly way to provide nationwide directory listing information, including residential and business phone lines for both Cox Digital Telephone customers and non-Cox customers. Green listings is available at greenlistings.cox.com.

Green Listings publishes Cox phone customers listing information as well as non-Cox residential and business listing information licensed from an unaffiliated third-party data supplier.
Unlike other national Directory Listing websites, our website is ad-free and easy to use.
Printed directories are often outdated and contain incorrect information; however, the Green Listings directory is updated with any new or edited information within 48 hours of the request.
As a Cox Digital Telephone customer, you continue to have the same options for publishing your directory listing refer to the above publishing guidelines.
The option you select for publishing your listing also applies to the Green Listings directory.
Cox makes our published listings available to all publishers; however, it is up to each local publisher to determine whether to include Cox residential listings in their directory.
Depending on the listing option selected, your Cox Digital Telephone listing will continue to be available via Cox 411 Directory Assistance.
Cox does not share non-published listings with any printed or online directory publishers or with Directory Assistance providers.
Cox does not sell customer data for marketing purposes. In addition, Cox strictly limits the use of our directory listing information by phone book publishers and 411/DA providers.

How can I edit my residential listing?

Contact your local telephone provider to update your listing. When your provider submits a change request, your listing will be updated on the Green Listings website. If you are a Cox Digital Telephone customer, please contact Cox at 800-234-3993 to make any changes to your listing. Changes will generally take 48 hours to appear on the site.

How can I remove my listing from the Green Listings directory?

When your provider submits a change request, your listing is updated on the Green Listings website.
