How do you control Cox Homelife?
The Cox Homelife app and the Touchscreen Control Panel (Security package) make it easy to control all your Homelife devices and services whether you’re home or away. Through the Cox Homelife app, you can view camera feeds and control all connected devices. Download the Homelife app free from iTunes or the Google Store.
Can I give anyone in my home access to the app?
Yes, the Homelife app can be used by anyone in your home who has been given your Homelife Username and Password.
Which Cox Homelife plan will give me professional monitoring?
Cox Homelife Security service plan comes with 24/7 professionally monitored security from an award-winning UL-listed CSAA Five Diamond certified monitoring center. Cox Homelife Automation service plan is not a monitored home security system and includes home automation services only; Cox Homelife Security service plan is required for professional monitoring services for intrusion, smoke/fire and related system components.
What kind of devices are available with Cox Homelife?
There are a number of smart devices that can be connected to your Homelife system including the Homelife Touchscreen, wireless keypad, motion sensors, glass break sensors, smoke/water sensors, HD Cameras, Smart Door Locks. All Homelife devices can be easily and conveniently controlled from the Homelife app, no matter where you are. How do Cox Homelife cameras work and do they record video?
Cox Homelife cameras allow you to check on your home anytime, anywhere. With Homelife Cameras, you can see live video clips(or add 24/7 Continuous Video Recording Services for an additional fee), take pictures and set Rules to record video clips when certain events occur, such as the front door opening or when your alarm status changes. You can also have pictures and video clips emailed to you from your camera. Any pictures or video clips taken can be viewed with the Homelife app and saved directly to your device.
How does Cox Homelife work to ensure my privacy?
Cox Homelife Security relies on a private, secure Local Area Network (LAN) and ZigBee technology to monitor and control all your Homelife services and devices. Every Homelife device you have in your home will connect to your Homelife network. This extra layer of security is designed to keep your devices safe and secure from outside interference and intrusion.
What can I expect from my professional Homelife installation?
Every Homelife customer has their system professionally installed by one of our trusted, expert technicians. Homelife technicians are timely, respectful and experienced, and will make sure your installation is quick and easy.
