Step-by-step prep

There are a few things you’ll need to do before your install.

  1. You’ll get an email with a temporary Username and Password, which you’ll need to activate Homelife once it’s installed, so save this email
  2. Make sure your Internet is up and running or being installed in the same visit (Homelife can’t be installed without an Internet connection)
  3. Download the Homelife app free from iTunes or the Google Store
  4. A homeowner over 18, who’s an authorized user on your Cox account, needs to be home during the installation (make sure they can access the system activation email)
  5. Technicians will need to get around to different parts of your home, so keep the pets contained, please
  6. Have your smartphone or tablet handy and fully charged
