The Cox Homelife app makes it easy to control all your Homelife devices and services whether you’re at home or away. You can set your alarm system, view camera feeds and control all your connected devices from virtually anywhere. You can download the Homelife app free from your Apple or Google Play app store.
 

Homelife Security customers can also use their Homelife touchscreen control panel to set their alarm system, communicate with emergency response teams, view video feeds, and monitor and control their connected devices.

Cox Homelife Security offers 24/7 professionally monitored security from award-winning UL-listed CSAA Five Diamond certified monitoring center. Cox Homelife Automation is not a monitored home security system and includes home automation services only; Cox Homelife Security is required for professional monitoring services for intrusion, smoke/fire and related system components.

Cox Homelife offers a variety of smart devices that can be connected to your Homelife system including HD cameras, Smart Door Locks, Smart LED Light Bulbs, Smart Plugs and more. Cox Homelife cameras allow you to monitor your home anytime, anywhere. With Homelife cameras, you can view live video clips, take pictures, and set Rules to record video when system events occur, such as the front door opening or when your alarm status changes. You can also have pictures and video clips emailed to you directly whenever Rules or other system events are activated. Any pictures or video clips you capture can be viewed using the Homelife app and saved directly to your device. Plus, add Continuous Video Recording to record motion detection 24 hours a day and check recorded video footage from up to 10 days ago.

Yes, the Homelife app can be used by anyone in the home who has been given your Homelife username and password. There is no limit to the number of mobile devices or tablets you can use to monitor and control your Homelife system.

Every Homelife customer has their system professionally installed by one of our trusted, expert technicians. Timely, respectful of your home, and offering world-class workmanship, Homelife technicians are there to ensure your installation experience is quick and easy. Your technician will also provide a complete walkthrough of your Homelife system so that you know exactly what you’re getting, how your Homelife system works, and how you can use Homelife to make your home safer, smarter and more efficient.

Cox Homelife Security relies on a private, secure LocalArea Network (LAN) and ZigBee technology to monitor and control all your Homelife services and devices. Each Homelife Security system is equipped with a unique Homelife security router, which uses your home WiFi to create a unique LAN for your Homelife system. Every Homelife device you have in your home will connect to your Homelife network. This extra layer of security is designed to keep your devices safe and secure from outside interference and intrusion.

Yes. We want you to have the services that fit your needs, so you always have the option to change your package. This can easily be done online, or by contacting our Cox Customer Care team. We’ll do our best to get you what you need as fast as possible.

Your bill will reflect three kinds of charges: the base price, any additional monthly services you’ve chosen and local taxes/fees. You should only see equipment charges on your bill if you’ve chosen the four easy payments option to purchase additional equipment.  

Homelife is available to residential customers in select Cox services areas. To use Homelife, you’ll also need a high-speed Internet connection which isn’t included with your Homelife plan.

Homelife services requires professional installation. During checkout, you’ll be able to select an available date and time for our tech to install your equipment. If the only available dates are further out, don’t worry, we’ll contact you later if anything sooner becomes available. Our standard Homelife installation fee is $25.00 ($50.00 for Homelife Security).

We offer additional Homelife devices for purchase, including smart plugs, thermostats, sensors and more. These devices are compatible with both the Homelife Automation and Homelife Security packages. During the checkout process, you’ll be able to purchase any additional equipment that you need. We want to help you to get the equipment that you need so we offer the option to pay in full for your equipment during checkout or to divide the charges into four easy payments. If you ever need to add equipment later, just reach out to us and we’ll help.  

With our new flexible pricing options, you can buy only the services you want rather than signing up for multi-product bundles. You can build your own package by starting with our discounted Internet offers. You can always add TV, Phone, or Homelife Automation at our everyday prices (then-current regular (non-promotional) rates) and remove them without impacting the rates on your remaining services. If you want to change the tier of any of your services, like a different Internet speed or TV package, we will work with you find the service that meets your needs, but your rate and available discounts will be different since you are changing the level of services you are subscribed to.  If you sign up for an Internet Bundle, removing either Panoramic Wifi or Cox Complete Care from your bundle will cause you to lose your bundle discount and promotional pricing. If you choose to sign up for a term agreement to get additional savings, ETFs apply for termination of your Internet service, but not if you cancel your TV, Phone, or Homelife Automation plans. If you’d rather not to make a commitment on your Internet plan, options are available without a term agreement for an additional small monthly fee.  Homelife Security with Starter Equipment Kit requires a separate 2-year term agreement with ETFs.

For Homelife Automation, you may cancel services at any time with no penalty. You’ll just have to make sure to return your hub device to avoid being charged. If you cancel your Homlife Security services during your term agreement, in some cases, you’ll be charged an early termination fee (ETF). The ETF is determined by how many remaining months there are on your term agreement. However, if you cancel your services during your first 30 days of service, you won’t be charged an ETF. Additionally, if you move during your term agreement period and Cox services are not available at your new address, you won’t be required to pay an ETF.
