Troubleshooting Cox Voice

Having issues? We’ll help you figure them out - because we all know there’s no time for downtime.

No dial tone?

Let's make sure it's not a simple setup issue.

  1. Make sure the cord connecting your phone to the phone jack is plugged in

  2. Check that all Internet and telephone cables aren't loose

  3. If you're using a cordless phone, make sure the batteries are charged

  4. Make sure there’s no network outage in your area (you can check here)

Still no dial tone?

Check the lights on your modem to see possible issues, then find their corresponding solutions below.

If all the lights are flashing on the Internet and telephone modem, it may be picking up some interference from your house phone wiring.

  1. Try plugging one of your phones directly into the back of the Internet and telephone modem where it is labeled 'Line 1' or 'TEL 1 / 2'

  2. If there's still an issue, contact us
