Data usage is the total amount of data sent between your device and the Internet and includes both downloads and uploads. In other words, the amount of data used is based on what you’re doing online, not the amount of time you spend online. For example, 30 minutes of streaming video will use more data than 2 hours of email or social media.
In the average household, there are more than 10 connected devices and streaming video typically accounts for the majority of data used. All of Cox’s High Speed Internet packages include 1 TB of data each month – enough to meet the needs of the majority of Cox customers. Cox measures your usage in gigabytes (GB), and there are 1,024 gigabytes in 1 TB. Learn more about what you can do with 1 TB of data each month.
All Cox Internet packages come with a 1 TB data plan. It's easy to add data any time if you need more and want to avoid overage charges. Explore your options below.
