Homelife Continuous Video Recording (CVR) is a convenient, easy-to-use service that lets you monitor your home remotely from virtually anywhere. Explore how it works and get instructions for enabling your CVR and accessing recordings.
Homelife CVR records video clips 24 hours a day, for the most recent 10 days whenever motion is detected on up to four cameras. You can easily access your live camera feeds and recorded video clips from your Cox Homelife mobile app anytime. You can also download and save any recorded video clips to your smartphone or tablet.
The Homelife CVR service supports up to 4 CVR-enabled cameras. Only HD cameras, shown below, are compatible with the Homelife CVR service. See additional Homelife camera resources:

Enabling your CVR service is easy with the Homelife mobile app—just follow these simple steps.
Open the Homelife mobile app and sign in.
Make sure you have the Homelife mobile app version 9.1.1.905 or later. Check your mobile app settings to see your current mobile app version. You can download and update the Homelife mobile app free from the Apple or Google Play app store.
Go to the More menu and select Manage Devices.
Tap the camera you want to enable.
Tap the CVR toggle and tap Done.
Once CVR has been enabled, your camera will need to reboot. After your camera reboots, you’re ready to go!
If you have multiple cameras and you want to switch your CVR service to a different camera, follow the same steps to disable one camera before you enable a new one.
Follow these steps to easily access your CVR recordings in the Homelife mobile app.
Open the Homelife mobile app and sign in.
Make sure you have the Homelife mobile app version 9.1.1.905 or later. Check your mobile app settings to see your current mobile app version. You can download and update the Homelife mobile app free from the Apple or Google Play app store.
Swipe through the camera carousel to view feeds from each of your cameras.
Swipe to any camera and tap the feed to view recordings from that specific camera. Here you will find the camera feed as well as all recorded motion events below.
To view a timeline of motion events from that camera, tap Go to Timeline.
Swipe along the timeline to view recorded video clips from a desired time. Red dots on the timeline indicate recorded video clips.
You can pause, rewind or fast forward through recordings by tapping the screen, and then tapping the pause, rewind or fast forward buttons.
To configure the timeline length, tap the feed, then tap the time value in the bottom right of the screen and select the desired length of your timeline.
Tap the Calendar to view recordings from a specific date. You can view recorded video clips from the past 10 days.
To save video clips to your device, swipe left on the tile and tap Save.
Tap Go Live to return to the live feed.
To view video in full screen, simply rotate your screen to landscape mode.
