Using Call Forwarding No Answer

Solution

The Call Forwarding No Answer service is used when you cannot answer the phone and you want to forward your calls to someone else or another specified number. You can change the forwarding number and choose how many times your phone should ring before it is forwarded to another number.
 
Note: Voicemail must be turned off to use Call Forwarding No Answer.

Turn On

Follow the steps below to turn on Call Forwarding No Answer.

  1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *92.
     
    Note: On a rotary phone, dial 1192.
     
  3. Listen for dial tone.
  4. Dial the number where you want your calls forwarded.

    Result: When the phone is answered, your Call Forwarding No Answer service is in effect.
     

If the Forward To line is busy, or if there is no answer, then complete the following steps.

  1. Hang up.
  2. Within two minutes, repeat steps 1-4 above.
     
    Result: Your confirmation will be a stutter dial tone, then a regular dial tone to let you know your Call Forwarding feature is now working.

Turn Off

Follow the steps below to turn off Call Forwarding No Answer.

  1. Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press *93.
     
    Note: On a rotary phone, dial 1193.
     
  3. Listen for the confirmation tone, and then hang up the handset.

    Result
    : Call Forwarding No Answer is now turned off.

Changing the Forward To Number

Complete the following steps to change the number where calls are forwarded.

  1. Dial *93.
     
    Note: On a rotary phone, dial 1193.
     
  2. Listen for the confirmation tone, and then hang up the handset.

    Result: Call Forwarding is now turned off.
     

  3. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
  4. Turn on Call Forwarding by dialing *92.
     
    Note: On a rotary phone, dial 1192.
     
  5. Listen for the dial tone.
  6. Enter the new Forward To number to where you want your calls forwarded.
