Turning Off Voice Prompts From the Touchscreen

Solution

When Voice Prompts are enabled, you will hear a voice prompt when a door is opened or closed.

Example: If a door is opened, the system will play a voice prompt that says "Door Open".

When Voice Prompts are disabled, instead of the prompt, you will hear a chime.

Follow the steps below to turn the Voice Prompt off.

1

On the touchscreen, tap the settings tray icon.

Result: A number pad will display on the panel.

To gain access to the ADVANCED SETTINGS menu, enter your four-digit user code.

Note: Only security users with Panel Master Access controls can gain entry to Advanced Settings. If the user has Guest or User access controls, an Invalid User Code error message displays.

5

On the ADVANCED SETTINGS menu, tap SOUND.

6

Tap Voice, and then tap to remove the check from the Voice box.
