Tracking the MalBlock Status for Network Devices

Solution

MalBlock DNS Security displays devices that are currently active for multiple group settings that you configure. Network devices that need to be addressed are shown in the Network Devices list.

Note: This feature is only available with the Premium service. To learn more about the Premium service options, see Cox Business Essential Security.
 

Complete the following steps to view your network devices that are online and manage the access level.

Log in to MalBlock DNS Security. See Logging into MalBlock DNS Security.

From the MalBlock dashboard, scroll down to the Network Devices section.

Note: The default group is set to All Groups. You can filter groups based on the new groups you create. To set up additional user groups, see Setting Up MalBlock DNS Security User Groups.

From the Network Devices section, click the applicable button to view the status details. The table below provides the Network Devices status descriptions.
 

Network Device StatusDescription
OnlineThe most recent devices that are online display in this status group.
InfectedNetwork devices that have been infected in the last 24 hours. View the infection type and block any infected device.
BlockedDisplays network devices that you have blocked that are unwanted and infected.

From the Actions column, you may block or assign active online unregistered devices by completing the steps outlined in the table below.

  1. Under the Actions column, click the red circle to block a device.
  2. In the Block this device? dialog box, click Block.
Assign
  1. In the Online Devices section, on the right-hand side, click the Refresh button.
  2. In the Actions column, click the + (plus sign) in the row of the device you want to register.
  3. In the Assign Device dialog box, in the Device Name field, enter a device name.
  4. Click Assign.
