Setting Voice Mail Preferences Online

Solution

To update your preferences on when you will receive voice mail, select the number of rings prior to voice mail picking up, and turn voice mail off, complete the following steps.
 

Note: Your voice mail must be set up before you can manage your preferences. See Setting up Voice Mail for more information.

Go to https://myaccount-business.cox.com, enter your User ID and Password, and then click Sign In.
 

Note: If you have not created an online profile with a User ID and Password, refer to Setting Up Your Online Profile.

From the My Quick Links section, click Voicemail.

Note: If you don't see the Voicemail link, then confirm the phone number is assigned to you and that you have the correct permissions. Refer to Managing Phone Number Assignments Online and Managing Cox Business Users Online.

Do you have more than one account?

  • If no, then continue to the next step.
  • If yes, then from the Select an account drop-down menu, select the account to modify.

From the Voice Mail Tools page, click the Voice Mail Preferences icon.

From the Voice Mail Preferences page, complete the following steps.

  1. Verify that your Voice Mail Status is set to On.
  2. Select your Voice Call Preference from the following options.
    • Send busy and unanswered calls to voice mail
    • Send busy calls to voice mail
    • Send unanswered calls to voice mail
  3. In the drop-down menu for Number of Rings Before Greeting, select the number of rings you prefer.
  4. Click Save.

Note: The Save button is grayed out until changes are made to your preferences.
