Setting Up Busy Lamp Field Feature in MyAccount


The Busy Lamp feature enables a user to see when designated users are engaged in a telephone call. It is available with VoiceManager packages and the IP Centrex service.

Monitored users are those individuals whose phone activity can be observed by others through the Shared Call Appearance feature which is available on IP Phones and Receptionist Console software.

Follow the steps below to set up the Busy Lamp Field feature.


Access MyAccount and sign in with your User ID and Password.


In My Services section, under the Voice tab, click Voice Tools.

In the User & System Management section click User Feature Settings.


Locate the number you are editing and click the Edit link.


Click to expand the Advanced Call Settings section, and then click Busy Lamp.

Result: The Busy Lamp page displays.


Are all available users being added to Busy Lamp?

  • If yes, then click Add All.
  • If no, then select the names from the Available Users list and click Add.


  • To remove users from the Monitored Users list, select the name from the list and click Remove, or click Remove All to clear the list.
  • To find a user that is not in the Available Users list, in the Search field, type the user's name.

Click Save.
