Self-Installing a Polycom Key Expansion Module

Complete the following steps to install a Polycom Key Expansion Module (KEM).

Confirm the E911 Address Information for the location of your IP Centrex equipment:

1. Go to myaccount-business.cox.com, enter your User ID and Password, and then click Sign In.
   
   Note: If you have not created an online profile with a User ID and Password, refer to Setting Up Your Online Profile.
   
   
2. From the home page, click the Voice icon.
   
   
    
3. From the Business Voice page, in the Features section, click User & System Management.
4. Select Manage E911 Information.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Important: The E911 Address information must be updated anytime the phone is moved to a new location. Affix the included decal so that users can view this information.

Take off the caps on the right side of the phone that cover the USB and KEM ports.

Important: Make sure that the phone is disconnected from power.

Place both the Polycom phone and Polycom KEM face down on a flat surface.

Important: If there is a stand attached to the phone, remove it.

Locate and attach the provided attachment arm to the phone and the KEM securing them together.

Important: Reattach the stand.

Insert the axillary cable between the AUX ports on the phone and the KEM.

Reconnect the Ethernet and power cables and power on the phone, which will also power on the KEM.
