Resetting a MyAccount User Password as an Email Administrator

Solution

Perform the following steps as a MyAccount email administrator to reset the password for a user under your profile.

Notes:

  • Only profile owners and administrators can reset passwords.
  • If you have forgotten your MyAccount password, see Trouble Signing in on the Cox Website.
  • Changing a user's MyAccount password also changes their WebMail password.

Go to Myaccount.coxbusiness.com, enter your User ID and password, then click Sign In.

From the MyAccount home page, use the steps below to access Email Administration page.

  1. Scroll down to the MyServices section.
  2. In the Internet tab, click Email Administration.

From the Email Administration page, click Reset User Password.

Complete the following steps to reset the user password.

  1. Click the User drop-down and select the desired MyAccount user.
  2. In the Reset Password field, enter a new password.

    Note: See Cox Password Requirements for more information.

  3. In the Confirm Password field, enter the new password a second time.
  4. Click Save.

Have the user perform the following steps to complete the password reset process.

  1. Go to Myaccount.coxbusiness.com, enter your User ID and the password created in step 4, then click Sign In.

    Result: A password expiration message displays.

  2. Complete the following fields.
    • In the Old password field, enter the password created in step 4.
    • In the New password field, enter a new password.

      Note: See Cox Password Requirements for more information.

    • In the Repeat password field, enter the new password a second time.
  3. Click Change Password.
