Remove the thermostat body from the backplate by pulling the cover directly off towards you.

Remove the old AA batteries.

Insert the new AA alkaline batteries at an angle while observing battery polarity.

Ensure any excess wires are tucked into the wall and replace the cover.
Note: After replacing the battery, the system may take up to five minutes to clear the low battery warning message.
