Complete the following steps to remove the cover.
- Using your thumb, lift the screw cover upward.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the screw.
- Insert the screwdriver into the slot and then push down to separate the base from the cover.

Remove the existing battery and insert the new CR123A battery while observing polarity.

Complete the following steps to replace the cover.
- Close the cover and tighten the screw.
- Close the screw cover with your thumb.
