Managing Gateway Summary Options in Cox Business MyAccount


The Gateway Summary section provides the Gateway status, WiFi information, connected devices, and additional administrative control.

From the Gateway Summary you can view the status of your gateway and devices that are connected to the gateway. The following provides details on the status color display.

  • Green: Strong signal strength and maximum throughput is available.
  • Yellow: Adequate signal strength, but will not have maximum throughput.
  • Red: Poor signal strength. It is recommended to move your device closer to the gateway or move your gateway to a centralized location with no obstruction.

Complete the following steps to view the Gateway Summary for your device.


Click the Gateway Summary tab.

From the Gateway Summary section the following information displays.

  • Name: The device name. Click Edit to change the device's name.
  • Status: Provides the connection status. The device is connected properly when Connected and a green checkmark icon displays.
  • IPV4 Address
  • IPV6 Address
  • MAC Address
  • Serial Number
  • Vendor
  • Type
  • Reboot Device: Click to reboot your device.
