Disabling the Channel Lock Feature on Contour

Solution

To unlock a channel that has been locked, follow the steps below.

On the Cox remote, press the CONTOUR button.

Press the arrow buttons to highlight Settings, then press OK.

Press the down arrow button to highlight Parental Controls, then press OK.

Enter your four-digit PIN.

Press the down arrow button to highlight Channel Locks, then press OK.

Result: A list of channels that have been locked displays.

Press the down arrow button to highlight the channel.

Press the right arrow button to highlight X, then press OK.

  • A gray open lock icon indicates unlocked channels.
  • A blue closed lock icon indicates locked channels.
