Configuring Video Motion Detection Settings in Your Subscriber Portal

Solution

Video Motion Detection (VMD) is a method of identifying motion without the use of a separate PIR motion detector device. Cameras with VMD use software to determine if there is motion in the images they are capturing based on defined areas, sensitivity level, and target size.

Configuring your VMD minimizes unwanted motion-triggered events which allows for efficient use of storage and upload capacities.

Changes made to the camera settings may also affect other VMD rules.

Follow the steps below to configure your VMD settings in the subscriber portal.

1

Go to Myaccount.coxbusiness.com, enter your User ID and Password, and then click Sign In.

Note: If you have not created a MyAccount profile with a User ID and Password, see Setting Up Your MyAccount Profile.

2

From the Administrative Tools and Service Management section, click the Security icon.
