Completing Multi-factor Authentication Enrollment in the MyAccount App

Solution

After completing the initial enrollment steps from Enrolling in Multi-factor Authentication in MyAccount, complete the enrollment on your mobile phone or electronic device via the MyAccount app by following the steps below.

Note: Only a Profile Administrator or a Profile Owner can enroll in Multi-factor Authentication. After enrolling, all users are required to set up verification methods the next time they sign in.

Go to the Cox Business MyAccount app, enter your User ID and Password, then tap Sign In.

Note: If you do not have a MyAccount profile, you may register in the Cox Business MyAccount app or on the MyAccount Setup page.

The Multi-factor Authentication Enabled message displays, tap one or more verification factors from the following choices and tap Setup Factor.

  • SMS - Receive the six-digit one-time passcode via text to your mobile phone.
  • Voice Call - Receive a call with your instructions to authenticate.
  • Email - Receive a six-digit one-time passcode sent to your email address.

    Note: The email option may not display if an email address is not listed on your account, has not been verified, or is a Cox-issued email address.

Complete the steps outlined in the table below to enter the information for your verification method. 
 

If your chosen method is...Then complete these steps...
SMS - Receive a text to your mobile phone.
  1. From the SMS Authentication screen, enter your phone number in the Phone Number field.
  2. Tap Send Code.
  3. Enter the one-time passcode provided in the text into the Enter Code field.
  4. Tap Verify.
Voice Call - Receive a phone call with instructions.
  1. From the Voice Authentication screen, enter your phone number in the Phone Number field.
  2. Tap Call Me.
  3. Enter the one-time passcode provided on the call into the Enter Code field.
  4. Tap Verify.
Email - An email sent to your registered email address.
  1. From the Email Authentication screen, enter your email address in the Email field.
  2. Tap Send Code.
  3. Enter the one-time passcode provided in the email into the Verification Code field.
  4. Tap Verify.


Note
: The one-time passcode expires after five minutes.

Once your code is verified a success message displays.

Result: You are now enrolled in Multi-factor authentication. The MyAccount app home screen displays.
