Annual Inspection for Your Detection System

Details

An annual inspection is recommended once a year for your Detection System. Though is not required in most areas, it helps maintain your system and keep it in good, working order.

Estimated Time

The inspection takes approximately one to two hours to complete.

Inspection Items

Everything is inspected to make sure it is working properly. Some examples of the work completed are listed below.

  • Touchscreen Control Panel - Verify proper placement and operation, current firmware version, and battery level are within acceptable range.
  • Sensors and Devices - Ensure all zones are tested and verified, check and verify the battery level for each device, and check that all devices are securely fastened and are in proper working condition.
  • Broadband and Cellular Connectivity - Verify Broadband and Cellular connectivity on Touchscreen and review router gateway placement and power source.
  • System Test - Test alarm system with Central Monitoring Station to ensure all devices are communicating properly.
