The California Teleconnect Fund Program

The California Teleconnect Fund (“CTF”) is administered by the California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”) to ensure that eligible organizations have access to advanced telecommunications and internet access services to support their communities.

The CTF program provides discounts on select services to eligible schools, libraries, community colleges, government-owned hospitals, California Telehealth Network participants, and qualifying community-based non-profit organizations. Eligible CTF recipients must receive service in the state of California.

The following services, provided by Cox, are available under the CTF program:

Voice Services

* Only the measured business service line included in this service is eligible for the CTF discount. Calling Plans and features that may be offered with this service are not eligible for the CTF discount.

Digital Transmission Services

  • Cox Metro-Ethernet Service - from 1 Mbps to 1 Gbps
  • Cox MPLS IP-VPN Service - from 1 Mbps to 1 Gbps
  • Cox Private Line Services including Cox LightWave  - Up to 100 Gbps
  • Cox Dynamic T-1 – from 1.5 Mbps to 4.5 Mbps
    Combination Internet and multiple voice lines on a shared T1 connection
  • Cox Flex-T** – from 1.5 Mbps to 4.5 Mbps
    Combination Internet and multiple voice lines on a shared T1 connection
  • Cox Integrated T** – from 1.5 Mbps to 4.5 Mbps
    Combination Internet and multiple voice lines on a shared T1 connection
  • Cox Transparent LAN Service** - 1.5Mbps
    Metro Ethernet data service to support point-point or mesh environments
  • Cox Connect DS1** - 1.5 Mbps Mbps
    Point-point private circuit for support of data or voice trunk
  • Cox Fibernet 1.5**- 1.5 Mbps
    Point-point private circuit for support of data or voice trunk

The CPUC will provide eligible entities with an approval letter via email.  Qualified entities are eligible to receive CTF discounts on eligible Cox Services.  Entities must provide Cox a copy of this approval letter in order to receive CTF discounts on eligible Cox services. The discounted rates may not be resold to or shared with any other non-qualifying entity or person.   Services are provided by Cox California Telcom, LLC and its affiliate.
