Your Information

In providing our Website and Platform Services, we collect information that could be used to identify, contact, or locate you (“Personal Information”). We cannot and do not access the information hosted by the Platform Services, but rather collect information (which may include Personal Information) about users of the Platform Services and Website.

Information that you Provide

The categories of Personal Information that we collect from you may include:

- Business contact information and contact preferences (such as your name, organization, title, phone number, and email address);

- Marketing preferences;
- Support requests and support history;
- Online browsing information and interaction with our chatbot;
- Payment information (e.g., billing address); and
- Information that you provide in the Website and Platform Services, such as demonstration requests and queries sent through the Website’s contact form.

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels to collect information from you when you visit and use our Website and Platform Services, to improve functionality and provide an optimized user experience.

  • Usage Information. We collect information, including click data and preference settings, about how you interact with the Platform Services and Website to operate, improve and market the Platform Services and Website.
  • Device Information. To manage the Website and Platform Services, we collect information about the devices you use to access the Website and Platform Services, including your device type, location, and IP address.
  • Transaction Information. We and, or our third-party providers collect other transaction details related to your purchases of Platform Services.

To the extent such other information is directly linked to your Personal Information, it will be considered Personal Information. We and third parties may create aggregate and/or de-identified information (i.e., information from which personally identifiable elements have been removed or modified), which is not considered Personal Information. We use such aggregate statistics to optimize and market the Website Platform Services.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, an analysis service provided by Google, in order to better understand your use of the Website and Platform Services and how we can improve them. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit a web service and what pages you visit when you do so. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit a web service, rather than your name or other directly identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Information. Although Google Analytics plants a persistent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit a website, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google Analytics uses its cookie(s) and the information Google Analytics collects to track your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Website, and other websites. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Website is governed by the Google Analytics Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of websites, to prepare reports on its activities, and share them with other Google services. To more fully understand how Google may use the data it collects on the Website and Platform Services, please review “How Google Uses Information From Sites or Apps That Use Our Services” (located here).

Use and Sharing

The purposes for which we use the Personal Information and other data that we collect include:

  • Page optimization – We use Usage Information and Device Information to improve the Website and Platform Services. For example, we retain Usage Information to understand which portions of our product tutorials are helpful to our users. Website analytics providers may also process such information on our behalf.
  • Marketing – Unless a user has opted-out of marketing, through our customer resource management vendors, we use and analyze contact information, contact preferences, location data, Usage Information, and Device Information to send marketing materials, analyze growth prospects, and communicate with users.
  • Product activation – We use account information that you provide to activate and manage your account. For example, we record the time of your account activation page for billing purposes.
  • Billing – We and our payment processors collect contact and financial information to process orders and manage subscriptions.
  • Customer support – To provide customer support, we use contact information and account credentials for looking up accounts, providing chat functionality, tracking tickets, and resolving customer issues. In addition to the uses described above, we may use and share all of the categories of Personal Information that we collect to provide the Website and Platform Services, and related business purposes as permitted or required by applicable law or legal process, including, for example, for the following activities: network management, fraud prevention, and identity verification.

Vendors

We may share Personal Information with the vendors that provide services on our behalf. We share all of the categories of information that we collect with vendors that provide services such as website analytics, customer resource management, marketing, and customer support. In addition, we retain some vendors, such as payment processors, to collect and manage Personal Information on our behalf. We require these vendors to maintain reasonable security of the Personal Information that they process.

We may also use and/or disclose Personal Information with your consent, as explained at the time of collection, or as otherwise not prohibited by applicable law and not inconsistent with this Privacy Notice or any notice given by us at the time of collection. Further, we may disclose and/or transfer Personal Information in connection with or during negotiations of any proposed or actual financing of our business, or merger, purchase, sale, joint venture, or any other type of acquisition or business combination of all or any portion of Cox assets, or transfer of all or a portion of Cox’s business to another company, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding.

Third-Party Services

The Website and Platform Services may include or link to third-party websites, apps, platforms or other services ("Third-Party Service(s)"). When you access those Third-Party Services, you may be interacting directly with the Third-Party Service even if you have not closed out of the Website or Platform Services. Please review the Privacy Policies and other notices provided by those parties to you.

When you use Third-Party Services, Cox is merely facilitating your access to those services, and you are subject to the data collection and use practices and privacy policies of the Third-Party Services and Cox is not responsible for their privacy practices. Cox encourages you to familiarize yourself with and consult their privacy policies and terms of use.

Law Enforcement and Legal Requests

Information We Must Disclose

We regularly receive legal requests for customer information from government and law enforcement personnel. We also receive discovery requests in civil cases. We cooperate by providing the information required by law. Cox does not volunteer users’ information or give access to customer communications to law enforcement or others, except in the "Special Exceptions" detailed in the “Use and Sharing” section above or if we have a good faith belief that an emergency involving a danger of death or serious physical injury requires disclosure. Many criminal subpoenas require that we not disclose or notify you of the request. Due to this fact and the volume of requests we receive, we do not assume any duty to notify you of receipt of any legal requests.

How Can I Opt-Out of Promotional Correspondence?

We may send you emails with promotional offers. If you would no longer like to receive information, newsletters or other promotional messages from us, please click the “UNSUBSCRIBE” link at the bottom of any such email you receive from us and follow the instructions, or alternatively you may contact us at [support@coxedge.com] with the word “UNSUBSCRIBE” or “REMOVE” in the subject line. Your email address will be removed from our marketing list. Please allow us a reasonable period of time in order to satisfy your request, as some promotions may already be in process.

Retention

We retain the Personal Information that we collect from you in accordance with Cox policy and where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with the Services you requested or to comply with an applicable legal requirement).

Children's Privacy

The Website and Platform Services are intended for use by a general audience and account holders must be of the age of majority. We do not intend to or knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child may have provided us with their Personal Information, you can contact us and we will delete their Personal Information to the extent required by COPPA.

If you are using the Website or Platform Services, or any part thereof, from outside of the United States of America, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored or processed in the United States.
