“To be productive citizens in the 21st century, young people need digital access for professional and academic success…We are thankful for Cox Communications’ continued generosity to provide Club kids with Internet access-as no one should have to apply for a job on a smartphone.”
Dr. Damon A. Williams, senior vice president, program, training and youth development at services at BCGA.
Cox has a long standing partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America to provide youth with access to state-of-the-art equipment, educational software platforms and tools for staying safe online. This partnership also includes discounted Internet, television and tech support services to clubs.
Since 2002, Cox has contributed more than $250 million in cash and in-kind donations to BCGA and helped establish more than 70 technology centers in Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. At the end of 2015, that number will top 100.
At the same time, many Cox employees support the organization through volunteer efforts – totaling more than 12,000 volunteer hours across 40 clubs.
