For students and parents, having a computer and Internet service at home is no longer a luxury—it’s essential. Cox® understands this new reality and, through our partnership with EveryoneOn, works in the communities we serve to provide low-cost Internet and devices to low-income students and their families through the Cox® Connect2Compete program.
To further support broadband equity, Cox collaborates with the American Library Association to provide online resources and digital training. This partnership is the first step of the Cox® Digital Academy, which offers additional tools and resources to help students and their families leverage opportunities through the Internet.
In addition, Cox has partnered with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support its ConnectHome initiative. Families with K-12 children who live in Public Housing, as well as K-12 families who receive Tenant-Based Vouchers, Project-Based Vouchers or Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) are eligible for the Cox® Connect2Compete discounted Internet service offer.
Common Sense Media helps families make smart media choices by offering independent advice on parenting, media, and everything in between. From tips on popular apps and games to advice for first-time technology users, Common Sense Media is the trusted source for parents and caregivers when it comes to raising kids in the digital age.
