Purchasing Cox iNDEMAND (Pay-Per-View)

• From the Program Guide tune to a Pay-Per-View channel.
• Press the SELECT button.
• If there is no conflict with other timers or purchases, a message asks you to confirm your purchase.

To purchase future Pay-Per-View programs from the Program Guide

1. Press the GUIDE button.
2. The Program Guide displays.
3. The current program is highlighted in the time grid.
4. Press the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT arrow buttons to highlight the future Pay-Per-View program you want to purchase.
5. Press the SELECT button.
6. You see a screen asking you to buy the Pay-Per-View program.
7. Press the SELECT button to purchase the program. (If you enabled the PIN for purchasing, a screen appears asking you for the PIN.)
8. Press the SELECT button to confirm the purchase.

Requiring the PIN for Pay-Per-View Purchases

You can specify whether you want Pay-Per-View purchasing restricted by the PIN. If you choose to require the PIN household members must enter the PIN before they can purchase a program.

1. Press the SELECT button.
2. The Settings menu appears.
3. Press the DOWN arrow button to highlight the Parental Control preference.
4. Press the RIGHT arrow button.
5. You will be prompted to enter your PIN.
6. Press the numbered buttons to enter the four numbers of your PIN.
7. You now see the Option column.
8. Press the UP arrow button to highlight the Purchasing option.
9. Press the RIGHT arrow button to move the Setting column.
10. Press the DOWN arrow button to highlight the PIN Required option.
11. Press the SELECT button.
12. Household members now must enter the PIN before they can purchase a program.
13. To exit the Settings menu, press the EXIT button.

Canceling Pay-Per-View Purchases

You can cancel a purchased program when the program has not started yet and when the purchase allows cancellation.

To cancel purchases

1. If your TV displays a Pay-Per-View channel with the A button at the bottom
2. Press the A button and go to step 4.
3. Otherwise, press the MENU button.
4. The Settings menu displays.
5. Press the DOWN arrow button to highlight the Purchase Review preference.
6. Press the RIGHT arrow button.
7. A list appears showing your Pay-Per-View purchases.
8. Press the UP or DOWN arrow button to highlight the purchase you want to cancel.
9. The status bar at the top shows whether you can cancel a purchase.
10. Press the SELECT button to cancel the purchase

Viewing Terms

PIP: picture-in-picture on/off.

SWAP: picture-in-picture swap.

FRZ: picture-in-picture freeze.

BYPASS: changes the television's inputs.

POS: picture-in-picture position.

Plug-and-Play: Plug-and-play is the term that refers to a Digital Cable Ready television set. Through the use of a Cable CARD, consumers can descramble the digital signal provided by their cable operator without the use of a traditional set top box.
