When dialing direct:

• Dial 011 (international access code)
• [+] the country code
• [+] the city code
• [+] the local telephone number

Example: When placing a call to Paris, France, dial 011 (the international access code), 33 (the country code for France), 1 (the city code for Paris), and the local telephone number.

If the codes you need aren't listed here, dial "00" (operator) for assistance.

Operator Assisted Calls

(person-to-person, collect calls, calling card calls using a rotary telephone; and international calls which are billed to another number other than the person you are calling):

• Dial 01 (access code)
• Dial the country code
• Dial the city code
• Dial the local telephone number
• You will then be connected to an operator.

International Calling Card Service

• Cox International Calling Card Service is available to customers of Cox Long Distance.
• Charges apply and are billed in whole minute increment
• Rates may vary from direct dial International calling rates

Calling Terms

• Direct Dial Calls: calls completed by dialing the number and being connected to the call without any assistance or special call handling (like charging the called party).
• Station to Station Calls: calls completed with the assistance of an operator to a particular station. The call may be billed to the called party.
• Person to Person Calls: calls completed with the assistance of an operator to a particular station and person specified by the caller. The call may be billed to the called party.
• Collect Calls: Collect calls provide you with the capability to charge a call to the called party. On the operator announcement of a collect call, the called party has the option to refuse acceptance of charges in advance or when asked by the operator.
• Third Number Billing: Calls made by third number billing provide you with the capability to charge a local call to a third number that is different from the called or calling party. The party answering at the third number has the option to refuse acceptance of the charges in advance or when asked by the operator.
• General/Directory Assistance calls: You have the option to request general information from the operator, such as dialing instructions, country or city codes, area code information and customer service 800/888 telephone numbers, but does not ask the operator to complete the call.
