To Block Channels or Ratings

You can block programs from your TV using the Interactive Program Guide (IPG) as follows:

1. Press the SETTINGS button on the Cox remote control.
2. Press the A button.
3. Press the down arrow button to highlight the Blocked Channels or Blocked Ratings option.
4. Press the right arrow button for the list of channels or ratings.
5. Press the up or down arrow to highlight the channel or rating you want to block.
6. Press the SELECT button to block the channel or rating.
7. Press EXIT to return to watching TV.

Turn On Parental Control

First select the programs you want to block, and then turn on parental control as follows:

1. Press the SETTINGS button
2. Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Activate Parental Control option
3. Press the left arrow to change the setting from NO to YES
4. Enter your blocking PIN ( press the number keys to enter the four numbers of your blocking PIN)
5. Press the A button to accept

To Turn Off Parental Control

The following procedure disables parental control until you turn the cable set-top box off and on; parental control then activates again automatically.

1. Press the SETTINGS button
2. Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Activate Parental Control option
3. Press the right arrow button to change the setting from YES to NO
4. Enter your blocking PIN (a message confirms that parental control is now disabled, and all blocked programs are now unblocked)
5. Press the A button to accept

Note: Turning the cable set-top box off and on will re-activate your parental controls.
