1. Watch TV within the Program Guide. If you subscribe to the Cox HDTV service, you can see the show you're watching displayed in the top corner of the Interactive Program Guide (IPG).
Also, you're TV does not have to support Picture-in-Picture (PIP). It's the Cox service that generates this feature.

2. Blocking TV-MA programs. We've made it easier to control TV shows rated TV-MA. Here's how:
- On the Cox remote control, press the MENU button.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Parental Control and press SELECT.
- Enter your PIN number.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Lock Ratings and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight TV-MA and press SELECT.
- Follow the prompts to exit.

3. Title search. Now you can search for movies and TV shows a lot faster. Here's how:
- Press the GUIDE button on the remote control.
- Press the C button to select Title.
- From the onscreen keypad, enter the letters of a title. Use the arrow keys on the remote to highlight a letter and then press the SELECT button.
- As you enter letters, corresponding titles display to the right of the onscreen keypad.
- The program titles listed may all be the same, but the episode detail or time of the program will be different.
- Use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate to the title pane and highlight a program title.
- To view a more detailed description of the program, press the INFO button on the remote control.
- To record the program, press the REC button on the remote and follow the prompts.
- To watch the program or set timers, press the SELECT button on the remote. The following three options display: View Channel Now, Set Event Timer, and Set VCR Timer. Highlight the desired option, press SELECT, and follow the prompts.
- To exit the Title Search screen, press the EXIT button on the remote control.

4. HDTV format settings. If you subscribe to the Cox HDTV service, we made it easier for you to select HDTV settings. For example, here's how to select the most popular HDTV setting:
- On the Cox remote control, press the MENU button.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Output Formats and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight 1080i and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Stretch 4:3 Image and press SELECT.
- Follow the prompts to exit.

5. Simulated surround sound.* If you connected the set-top receiver to any 2-channel (meaning left/right AUDIO IN) stereo, including stereo TV, VCR, or amplifier, then you can simulate surround sound audio. Here's how:
- On the Cox remote control, press the MENU button.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Audio and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Analog Output and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Surround (or it may say, Tru Surround), and press SELECT.
- Follow the prompts to exit.

6. Audio loop-through. We added a loop-through audio setting that lets you loop through an audio device, such as a CD player. Now you can turn off the cable reciever (thus video) and still listen to audio from a Music Channel or CD player, for example. Here's how to select the loop-through setting:
- On the Cox remote control, press the MENU button.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Audio and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Loop-Through and press SELECT.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight On and press SELECT.
- Follow the prompts to exit.
(Tune to a Music Channel. Turn off the cable reciever, but keep it plugged into the power source. The audio continues to play.)

7. Closed-captions. You have the capability to customize the closed-captioning display with new fonts and colors if you subscribe to the Cox HDTV cable service. Here's how:
- On the Cox remote control, press the MENU button.
- Use the arrow keys to highlight Closed Captioning and press SELECT.
- Continue to use the arrow keys to highlight desired options and select by pressing the SELECT button.
- Follow the prompts to exit.
