With Caller ID Per-Line Blocking, your name and number are always blocked from being displayed to others.
How to Set Up and Use Caller ID Per Line Blocking
- To set up per-line blocking, contact a Cox customer support representative and ask for Caller ID Per Line Blocking.
- Caller ID Per-Line Blocking is free of charge, but you must notify Cox that you want the per-line rather than the per-call blocking option.
- If no option is chosen, Caller ID Per-Call Blocking is assigned.
- Once a blocking option is selected, you can change the blocking option one time, free of charge.
- To temporarily suspend per-line blocking and allow your name and number to be displayed for a single call, press *82.
All steps complete.
Note: Calls to 911, 800, and 900 numbers cannot be blocked.
