  • Note:  If you are currently leasing a cable modem from Cox, please contact your local Cox office for return procedures in order to avoid additional charges.

Need some help?

I have plugged everything in and the setup screen is not appearing.

  1. Ensure the power light is lit on your digital telephone modem.
  2. Review the connections.
  3. Make sure you have launched your Internet browser.
  4. Try restarting the modem by inserting a paper-clip or thin object into the hole on the back of the modem labeled ‘Reset’.

I have walked through the setup and do not have a dial tone.

  1. The telephone should not be plugged into the landline phone jack.
  2. If moving your telephone number from another carrier, check the activation date indicated during the setup process.
  3. Make sure the cordless telephone is charged and plugged into an electrical outlet.

The line has static.

  • Make sure connections are tight.

I only have one cable wall jack for my TV, Internet and home phone service.

  1. Connect the existing coaxial cable from the cable wall jack to the splitter (F) ‘In’ connector.
  2. Next, connect the two included coaxial cable (E) to the splitter (F) ‘Out’ connectors.
  3. Connect one coaxial cable (E) back to the existing TV connection and the other to the port labeled ‘Cable’ on the Digital Telephone Modem (A).
