Click on the Pay Bill button in the upper right corner of the Cox.com
page, or click on the View / Pay Bill
button on the horizontal navigation bar. Result: The My Account (service.cox.com) Login page displays.
Log in with your Email Address and Password.
Click the Account Settings button on the left-hand menu. Result: Your Account
Settings login page displays.
Click the Account Settings button on the left-hand menu.
Manually enter your 16-digit account number and 4-digit Cox PIN,
which can be found on your bill.
How to Select Account Settings for the First Time
In the PIN Secret Question list, select a question.
In the PIN Secret Answer box, enter the answer. Note: The answer must be between 5 and 20 characters. You can use upper or lowe-case letters. The answer can be a combination of letters and numbers. Important: In the answer, do not use personal information that could be used to identify you.
Select either U.S. Mail or Email as the preferred method of communication with Cox:
To receive information by U.S. Mail:
In the Preferred Method of Communication list, select U.S. Mail.
Verify the information is correct.
Note: To change it, change the billing address.
To receive information by Email:
In the Preferred Method of Communication list, select Email.
In the Email Address box, enter your email address, using this format: anyname@cox.net.
Beside the Cox may share my information with its secured third parties to provide me with special offers label, do one of the following:
Click Yes to share your information with Cox partners and receive special offers.
Click No to decline to share account information.
How to Change Account Settings
Log in to the Account Settings webpage (see How to Access Account Settings above).
Do one of the following:
Click Change Account Settings.
Change the Secret Question and Answer, Mail Preference, and Share Information settings as needed.
Click Continue. Result: The My Account - Account Setup page displays.
Do one of the following:
Click Continue to change your Cox PIN.
Click Logoff to close the website.
Click Change Cox PIN.
From the Change Cox PIN page, enter a 4-digit PIN in the New Cox PIN box.
Note: The new Cox PIN must be different from your existing Cox PIN, and it must meet the following security standards to be compliant:
Must have four digits
Cannot be 1234
Cannot be repeating digits, like 2222 or 5555 Important: To protect your identity, do not use the last four digits of your Social Security Number as your Cox PIN.
Enter the 4-digit number in the Re-enter New Cox PIN box.
Click Continue. Result: The My Account – Account Setup page displays.
Do one of the following:
Click Continue to make changes to the Secret Question and Answer, Mail Preference, and Share Information settings.
