 Pause, rewind, and fast-forward live TV

Whenever you tune to a channel, a temporary copy of the program is being saved to the DVR buffer.

With the help of this temporary copy, the DVR allows you to control a live program in various ways using the remote control buttons.

For example, to pause* live TV:

  • Press the PAUSE button on the remote control..
  • To resume playback from pause, press the PAUSE button again or press the PLAY button.
  • After pressing PLAY, the show picks up right where you left off.

To rewind live TV:

  • Press the REW  button.
  • To resume playback from rewind, press the PLAY button.
  • You can rewind live TV at three speeds: press REW once for slow speed, twice for medium speed, and three times for rapid speed.

To fast-forward live TV:

  • Press the FFWD  button.
  • To resume playback from fast-forward, press the PLAY button.
  • You can fast-forward live TV at three speeds: press FFWD once for slow speed, twice for medium speed, and three times for rapid speed.

To advance one frame at a time:

  • Press PAUSE and then the right arrow button.

To play the program in slow motion:

  • Quickly press the PLAY button twice.

* The PAUSE button pauses live TV up to thirty minutes; and in some markets up to one hour.
