(SAN DIEGO) July 15, 2008 – For the sixth year in a row, Cox High Speed Internet has been voted #1 Internet Service Provider by The San Diego Union-Tribune Readers Poll.

Cox High Speed Internet has been voted No. 1 in this category for six consecutive years. On July 15, 2008, Cox increased the speed of Cox High Speed Internet for the fifth time in five years. PowerBoost, which allows customers to momentarily boost the speed when downloading music, playing games and watching videos, increased up to 20 mbps. Cox Security Suite, powered by McAfee is free to all Cox High Speed Internet customers. Cox added myNoggin, Nickelodeon’s new educational online service for preschoolers. MyNoggin is free to all Cox High Speed Internet customers and is ad-free. Another free service to Cox customers is Cox Rhapsody Music, which allows customers to upload 25 on demand songs per month.
