"DIGITAL TRANSITION AWARENESS DAY" AT COX STORES ON SATURDAY, JAN. 17, 2009

WHAT:
The public is invited to come out to Digital Transition Awareness Day at the Cox Stores countywide to learn how they may be affected by the Digital Transition that takes place on Feb. 17, 2009. Subject matter experts will be available to answer consumers’ digital transition questions, and help them identify whether they will be impacted so they are prepared for the transition. The community event will feature an HDTV giveaway, food, music, prizes, and demonstrations on how to connect a TV to a converter box. Cox Communications and IMS Electronic Recycling also are offering free onsite e-recycling. Consumers are welcome to drop off televisions, computers, monitors, keyboards, scanners, printers, mice, phones, audio devices, radios, cameras, and cell phones.
