MLB Network and WE TV to Launch in San Diego
Former Channel 4 San Diego announcer Matt Vasgersian returns to San Diego households as Host of New Shows on MLB Network on Cox Channel 330

(SAN DIEGO) December, 2008 –will launch the new MLB Network to its San Diego digital cable customers on Jan. 1, 2009. The MLB Network will serve as home plate for live baseball games, highlights, classic games, coverage of baseball events and original new programming. It will be available on Cox Digital Cable Channel 330.

With MLB Network, Cox digital cable customers will be able to access over 1,800 hours of live baseball programming, including the premiere of MLB Network’s live studio show MLB Tonight, hosted by Matt Vasgersian. Prior to his new role with MLB Network, Vasgersian has been familiar to San Diego viewers as the lead announcer for Padres baseball on Cox-owned Channel 4 San Diego for the past seven years.  Vasgersian will also host MLB Network’s Hot Stove, a live, nightly off-season show.

(Channel Change):
With the launch of MLB Network, HRTV (Horse Racing TV) will move from Channel 330 to Channel 328.

WE TV:
Cox Communications will also launch WE TV on Dec. 15, 2008 on Cox Digital Cable Channel 337. WE TV is a network dedicated to women that focuses on relationships, personal style and pop culture.

Available on the Digital Variety Package on Channel 337, WE TV will offer original programming including the hit series “Bridezillas,” unique movie packages such as “Three Men and a Chick Flick,” topical specials, and its public affairs initiative WE Empowers Women that is dedicated to creating programming that celebrates women.
