The Cox Kids Foundation is comprised of five different programs that
serve kids and thier families in the San Diego community: Innovation in Education, Cox Heroes,
Helping Kids Communicate / Children's Hospital Speech and Hearing Center,
Make-A-Wish Foundation and Domestic Violence Prevention.
Each program provides
needed assistance to local kid and their families in the communities we
serve.
 
Cox Kids Foundation awards grants up to $5,000 to public and charter middle and
junior high schools and to the dedicated teachers at those schools.

Cox rewards academic excellence and personal perseverance by granting
scholarships up to $10,000 to individuals who are overcoming personal challenges
while pursuing educational advancement.

The Foundation supports the Children’s Hospital Speech and Hearing
Center to help treat children with hearing loss, provide grants for
speech therapy, and purchase hearing aids.

The Cox Kids Foundation partners with the Make A Wish Foundation to
grant special computer wishes to kids with life threatening illnesses.

services for domestic violence survivors. CCS provides assistance to
more than 12,000 men, women and children in the San Diego area who have

Cox funds Casa de Amparo, an organization focused on providing unique
and vital programs to the youngest victims of domestic violence, the abused,
abandoned and neglected children and their families. For 28 years, Casa de
Amparo has worked to prevent, treat and reunify: breaking the cycle of abuse in
San Diego County.

By pairing Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA’s) volunteers with
children who have become dependants of the San Diego County Court,
Voices for Children and Cox Communications assist children who have been
removed from their home or their parents because they have been abused,
abandoned or neglected, and have no other family to turn to.
