Interactive program ads are banners that are displayed on the top or bottom third of your TV screen during a commercial or infomercial.

Turn Off Interactive Ads From Your DVR

Using the Cox remote control, follow the steps below to turn off the Interactive Ads on your DVR.

On your remote control, press the Settings button, then press the A button to display the General Settings menu.

Press the up or down arrow on your remote control to highlight My Preferences.

Press the right arrow on your remote control to display more options.

Press the up or down arrow button on the remote to navigate to Enhanced TV Apps on the menu.

Press the right arrow, and then press the up or down arrow to select Disabled.

Press the Select button on your remote control to accept or confirm the change.
 

Result: A white dot appears beside the setting.

Press the Exit button on the remote to return to the full-screen TV.

Turn Off Interactive Ads With Your Digital Receiver

Using the Cox remote control, follow the steps below to turn off the Interactive Ads on your Digital Receiver.

Press the Menu button twice on your remote control to display the Settings menu.

Use the up or down arrow buttons on the remote to navigate to Enhanced TV Apps on the menu.

Press the right arrow button on the remote to display more options.

Note: The On setting is enabled by default.

Press the down arrow to highlight Off.

Press Select button on the remote to accept or confirm the change.
