Solution

Complete the following steps to connect additional computers to a Cox-provided WiFi modem using wireless. If you have not connected your first computer as a wired connection, refer to Connecting a Modem With an Ethernet Connection.

Access your computer's Wireless Network Connection application, either in Mac OS or Windows.

Locate the wireless network SSID and Passphrase printed on the label of your WiFi modem.

Note: Each device may display the SSID and Passphrase differently on its label. If you need help finding the SSID or Passphrase, see Cox Approved Cable Modems for device information or refer to your user manual.

Select the SSID on your computer's wireless network application.

Result: A request for the Passphrase displays.

Enter the Passphrase exactly as it appears on the label of your WiFi modem.

Note: The Passphrase is case sensitive.
