Using Priority Ringing

Learn about Priority Ringing which allows you to set up a special ring to announce calls from specified numbers.
When you make a list of special callers, your phone uses a special ring to announce calls from any of those numbers. If you also have Call Waiting, you will hear a special Call Waiting tone.
Complete the following steps to use Priority Ringing.
- Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
- Press *61 or, on a rotary phone, dial 1161.
Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently On or Off.
The recorded voice tells you how many, if any, numbers are currently stored in your list.
- Follow the voice instructions.
- Use the following table to configure Priority Ringing.
|Turn the feature On or Off||Press 3.|
|Listen to the phone numbers on your list||Press 1.|
Result: The list is read and voice instructions play.

Note: You can store up to 31 phone numbers on your priority list.
|Remove a number from your list|
To add the last caller to your list, press #01#, or on a rotary phone, dial 1201.
