Learn how to download Cox TV Connect on your Windows or Mac devices.


Before You Begin

  • The following instructions are general install and download steps for a Windows PC and Mac computer. Some steps may vary based on the computer type and OS.
  • See About Cox TV Connect for service and minimum system requirements.
  1. Go to the Cox TV Connect page on Cox.com
  2. Under TV Connect, click the appropriate link for Android or Mac.

Complete the following steps based on your computer type.


If you are using a...Then...
Windows desktop computer or laptop

The Cox TV Connect Download page displays.

Click the Download Now button.

Mac desktop computer or notebook Locate the Cox TV Connect app file or pkg and launch the installer.


Complete the following steps based on your computer type. 


If you are using a...Then...
Windows desktop computer or laptop

The InstallShield Wizard displays the End User License Agreement.

Click the I accept the terms in the license agreement radio button, then click the Next button.

Mac desktop computer or notebook

The Install Cox TV Connect window displays with guided instructions. 

  1. Click Continue and the Software License Agreement displays.
  2. Click the Agree button.
  3. Click the Continue button and the Destination Select window displays. 
  4. Choose how you would like to install this software and click the Continue button.

The software will begin to download.Once complete, the installer will display a message that the install was successful.


Complete  the following step based on your computer type.


If you are using a...Then...
Windows desktop computer or laptopClick Finish.
Mac desktop computer or notebookClick Close.

Launch Cox TV Connect.


If you are using a...Then...
Windows desktop computer or laptopDouble click the Cox TV Connect icon on your desktop, or launch TV Connect from your Applications folder.
Mac desktop computer or notebook

 Launch Cox TV Connect from your Applications folder or dock.

If you receive the following error when attempting to open Cox TV Connect,

follow the steps below to ensure your Security Preferences will allow applications to be downloaded from "anywhere."

For some newer OS versions, Apple will only allow installation of apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers. To change this setting, complete the following steps. 

  1. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy
  2. Click the General tab and click the lock in the lower left corner to unlock the General Preference pane. 
  3. From the General Preference pane, click the Anywhere radio button beneath Allow applications downloaded from
