Cox Tech Solutions is a fee-based support service providing premium, round-the-clock technical assistance, training, and advice beyond your included Cox High Speed Internet support. Remote assistance is available by phone and over the Internet.
After you provide authorization, watch as our experienced technicians remote into your computer, securely take control of your mouse, and help you with just about anything such as troubleshooting, installing new software and configuring your settings, and adding new devices to your home network. In-home support is also available for an additional charge. Support is provided for both home computers and tablets.
There are two service options available for purchase. Cox offers a monthly subscription-based service, providing unlimited support any time you need it. Or service on a one-time basis only.
Premium technical support services include:
- Resolution of PC crashes
- Removal of spyware, malware, and viruses
- Install and configure new PC applications and software
- Install and configure new PC devices like printers and digital cameras
- Configure home network security settings
- Resolve home network connectivity issues
- Add new network devices such as game consoles, smart phones, and printers to existing wireless network
- Resolve operating system and software error messages
- Move data from one computer to another
- Other PC-related issues
Training and guidance is also available. Examples of these types of services include:
- Learn Windows 8 with a live tutorial
- Learn how to use shortcuts in programs and browsers
- Learn how to use Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Tips and tricks for device efficiency, such as battery life, closing applications on mobile devices, better performance
