With your Cox identity, you have benefits to having a Cox Identity.


Cox customers have many added benefits when they have or create a Cox Identity. Cox Identities can be created online without having to contact an agent.

Creating a Cox Identity

Cox customers who do not have a Cox Identity can create one by going to the Cox.com Home Page and clicking on the Register button located at the top of the page.

Existing Cox Identity Customers

Cox customers who already have a Cox Identity can go to the Cox.com Home Page and click on the Sign In button located at the top of the page. You can enter your User ID and Password to begin using all the great features Cox offers online.

Cox Identity Benefits

All Cox customers with an Identity have the following benefits:

  • View up to 18 months of bills online.
  • Make a one time payment via multiple methods.
    • Credit Card
    • Debit Card
    • Electronic Check
  • Manage Account Holder security parameters such as Password, PIN, Secret Question / Answer, if the PIN displays on the bill, and Marketing Email options.
  • Create and manage up to nine additional users, for a total of ten identities.

In addition, with a Cox Account Holder Identity, you can access the additional features below depending on the services you have.


Using a Cox DVR and a Smart Phone, you have the ability to program a DVR remotely. This functionality is dependant on the cell phone.


Log in to Phone Tools to use and manage several phone features.

  • Phone Center
    • Manage your phone features
    • View inbound and outbound call history
    • Maintain a list of frequently used numbers
  • Message Center
    • Play voice messages
    • Manage voice mail service

Log in to Internet Tools and activate and use multiple free or pay for services.
